Yes. Safety is built into how Taledew works. In the default Storybook mode, stories are assembled from human-written, human-reviewed frameworks where every template and its branches are reviewed and approved before going live. No free AI generation happens in Storybook. The optional Create Together mode (ages 6 and up, parent-unlocked) is designed to run multiple safety checks: input filtering, constrained generation, content classification, a blocklist, and a pre-written safe fallback if anything is uncertain. Taledew is built for COPPA compliance, carries no third-party ad SDKs, and never stores your child's voice audio.

Taledew is designed for children ages 3 to 9. The app adjusts story length, vocabulary, and theme complexity for three age bands: 3 to 5, 6 to 8, and 9. Pre-readers navigate entirely through illustrated picture choices and voice input, so no reading skills are required to get started.

The free trial gives full access to Taledew for 7 days. You can explore Storybook stories, create a child profile, and try the narration. No charge until the trial ends. You can cancel anytime in one tap from your Apple ID settings. After the trial, the Family Plan is $7.99 per month or $49.99 per year.

Brand-new stories are built from your child's own spoken or typed ideas, generated entirely on your device with no internet required. Parents will be able to enable or disable Create Together from the parent dashboard.

Yes. Every finished story can be exported as a print-ready PDF keepsake book, right on your device. Save it, print it at home, or take it to a print shop yourself. Keepsake export is included for subscribers. It makes a wonderful gift from grandparents or for birthdays and new siblings.

Taledew uses AI in a supervised, human-vetted way. In Storybook mode, the story engine fills pre-approved templates on your device. AI personalises names, hero details, and choices, but every possible story outcome was written and reviewed by human experts before it ever reaches your child. In Create Together mode, AI generates new story passages from your child's ideas, but every input and output passes a multi-layer safety pipeline. We lead with the craft, safety, and human oversight, not the technology.

Storybook mode works fully offline. The story engine, illustrations, and on-device narration all run on your iPhone or iPad with no connection needed. Create Together mode, coming in an upcoming update, also runs entirely on your device, so it will work offline too.

The parent dashboard is behind a parental gate (a hold gesture or simple math). From there you can: set each child's age band and theme preferences, enable or disable Create Together mode, review every story your child has read or made, flag any story page for review, set session time limits, manage your subscription, and track printed book orders. Each child has a separate profile with its own story library.

Yes. Taledew subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Cancel anytime in Settings on your iPhone or iPad. Cancellation takes one tap and takes effect at the end of your current billing period. There are no cancellation fees or hoops to jump through.

The Family Plan supports up to 4 child profiles under one subscription. Each child gets their own library, age-tuned story settings, and separate story history.
