Effective Date

These Terms of Use are effective as of June 8, 2026.

Welcome to Taledew. These Terms govern your use of the Taledew app. By using the app, you agree to these Terms.

Taledew is made by Povilas Konopackas, an independent app developer (sole proprietor) based in Lithuania.

Who May Use the App

The app is for parents and guardians and the children (ages 3 to 9) in their care.

You must be an adult (at least 18, or the age of majority where you live) to manage settings or make a purchase. Children do not create accounts and do not agree to these Terms. You accept these Terms on behalf of your household.

The App Runs on Your Device

Taledew works on your device. It does not send your information to us. We do not operate accounts or servers that store your content.

Subscriptions

Taledew offers an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store, available as a monthly or annual plan at the price shown before you purchase.

New subscribers may receive a free trial. After any free trial, the subscription automatically renews at the price shown unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or current period ends.

Your account is charged through Apple. You can manage or cancel anytime in your App Store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period or free trial period, and you keep access until then.

Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Keepsake Book Files

The app can create a printable keepsake file (a PDF) of a story on your device. You may save, print, or share it yourself.

We do not print, ship, or fulfil physical books, and we do not collect any shipping address. If you decide to print a copy at home or through a printing service of your choice, that is your responsibility and is subject to that service's terms.

Acceptable Use

Use the app only for personal, non-commercial family storytelling.

Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the app or its content, do not try to bypass the parental gate or any safety feature, and do not use the app in any way that breaks the law.

AI-Assisted Stories

In Create Together mode, the app uses on-device generation to help build a new story from your child's ideas. This processing happens on your device and nothing is sent to us or any outside service.

Generated content is filtered for safety on your device, but no automated system is perfect. If you ever see something that concerns you, please tell us at support@taledew.com.

Intellectual Property

The illustrations, story frameworks, narration, brand, and software in Taledew are owned by or licensed to the developer. You may not reproduce or distribute them except for the personal keepsake use the app is designed for.

A story your child makes (their choices, name, and hero) is yours to keep and print for personal, non-commercial use.

Supervision

Taledew is designed to be used with parental awareness and is not a substitute for adult supervision. For Create Together mode (ages 6 and up), we recommend a grown-up nearby.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer's total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law where you live.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your own country. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Lithuania, unless local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will show material changes in the app before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
